Coming Soon- New Peek! Romance Photography Website

I am so excited! The layout and content for my new website dedicated to Peek! romance photography is in the final stages of completion. Next Sunday, I have 5 real women and brides that are going to model for me so I can showcase all of the exciting new looks I’ve created for boudoir photography. The images are classy, sexy and not too revealing. Just yesterday I had a photo session with a bride getting married this coming weekend and the images were gorgeous! Per her request, the images will not be posted. But, here is what she said about her session…

Hey Jennifer,

Thank YOU for today! You were awesome! The pictures turned out gorgeous and you were so fun and easy to work with! I can’t wait to see the finished product! Thank you so much for taking time out of your weekend to do a session with me, I appreciate it sooo much… you rock! –”A”

Here is a sneak peek of the new website’s home page as it stands today.

I can’t wait to share it with you after next weekend’s sessions!

And, just as a reminder, a copy of the current promotion that is running…

Today I received a box of magazines from Premier Bride. The new issue is out and I have Theresa and Shay’s wedding featured on pg. 72. My new ad is directly across from it and has some of my favorite images from this year.

The publishers of this magazine also have a bridal show on Sunday, September 7 at UNF from 1pm to 4 pm. Check back on my blog for free ticket giveaways, special announcements and promotions I will run just for the show! See you there!

Operation: Love Reunited

Today I am honored to announce that I have been accepted as a photographer for Operation: Love Reunited. Operation: Love Reunited is a non-profit organization created by photographers to provide photography services for deploying, deployed or returning military families. This organization aims to help the days go by a little faster through images that can be shared and treasured by the loved one away from home and the family members left behind.

The sessions are always patriotic in nature and include a complimentary 4×6 album of the best images. The album is sent directly to the family member overseas by the photographer.

If you are a military family interested in learning more about this program please visit www.oplove.org or contact me directly.

Holly and Ryan’s Beachfront Wedding

Last night, Holly and Ryan were married in a beach front ceremony that took place at the Comfort Inn Oceanfront in Jacksonville Beach. They had so many cute seaside details in the brown and teal color scheme. After a deck side ceremony, they joined their guests for food and traditions inside the banquet room and moved the party outside. Right before the garter removal and toss, the groom told me that he had caught the garter and she the bouquet at a mutual friend’s wedding before they were dating! It was meant to be! At the end of the evening, they were showered in bubbles as they made their grand exit. Congratulations to Holly and Ryan!

Vendor Reception at Palencia

Last night, I attended a very nice reception for wedding vendors at the Palencia Club in St. Augustine and just wanted to say thanks to the new people I met there. Wanda Hanscom-Y! Entertainment and First Coast Party Rentals
Debbie Deinstadt-Simply Linen Solutions
Jan- Black Tie Formals (she just opened a new 4,000 square foot store at the beach!)
Shawnee Doster-All About Honeymoons (new travel planning company in Jax)

What is “Peek- romance photography?”

Since my recent announcement of a new line of photography services, “Peek- romance photography”, I’ve been really working on fine tuning what this can be to women. In addition to having a logo designed (thanks Crystal!) and developing brochures and ads, I’ve been focused on what this will mean to my clients.

So, here is exactly what “Peek- romance photography” is and is not.

Peek romance photography is:
–boudoir photography that leaves some things to the imagination. I think it is sexier and more alluring to hold back on what is revealed and unveil only the most flattering shapes and parts of a woman.
–a way for women to rediscover their selves and their beauty.
–a gift for your husband, fiance or even your self.
–an experience that allows my clients to feel like a rock star, super model and themselves all in one session.
–empowering women of all sizes and shapes to love their bodies and their natural beauty.
–contemporary, fresh, beautiful photography that uses glamourous lighting and poses to showcase every woman at their best.

Peek romance photography is NOT:
–nude or erotic photography (yuck!).
–intended to exploit women or their bodies.
–for couples or men…(sorry guys) This is meant to be an experience just for women by a woman.

I’m sure I’ll add to this list as this develops, but this is a start. I think we’re on to something here!

Another Record Day on the Blog!

Just an update- I am overwhelmed by the response to my blog! Last week I noticed a new record number of visitors. 407 in one day! Thanks again for stopping by to see what’s new with Photography by Jennifer Brum.

Cinderella’s Got Nothing!

This blog post was inspired by Sarah, my bride from Saturday. As I was photographing the getting ready moments at the church, I noticed her awesome shoes. I almost always photograph the bride’s shoes as part of documenting the details of the day. So, I was pleased to see Sarah’s very cute patent leather heels. So, in tribute to her cute shoes, here are a few of my other favorite bridal shoes from recent weddings. What I love about them is that you can almost get a sense of the bride’s personality just from looking at her shoes.

Sarah’s cute and contemporary heels

Lindsey’s sandals- she danced the night away!

Melissa’s sexy shoes

Mandy’s cool and contemporary silver ballet slippers

Jenny’s couture and strappy heels

Sarah and Lawton’s Wedding

On Saturday, July 5, Sarah and Lawton were married at St. John’s Cathedral downtown Jacksonville. Their wedding story is a great one because five generations of the groom’s family have been married in this church. The first one was in 1893. Sarah and Lawton had a gorgeous ceremony and joined their family and friends at the Florida Yacht Club for a reception. At the end of the evening, the couple left the dock on a yacht showered with fireworks! Probably the best send-off I’ve seen yet! Congratulations to Sarah and Lawton!
