Farm Style Wedding-Bobbie Jo and Bob

I love it when couples aren’t afraid to really personalize their wedding day and pick unique details and locations. Bobbie Jo and Bob really did a great job of making their wedding personal by incorporating a refreshing farm style into their day. The ceremony and location were both held at the Alpine Groves Park which features an old farm house and barn, with the ceremony taking place at sunset. Since there is no electricity at the park, lots of mason jar candles were on hand to light the way at night. Pumpkins, fall flowers, Coca-Cola in the bottles, sweet tea and lemonade complimented the wonderful barbeque. What a lovely day! Congratulations Bobbie Jo and Bob!

Lightner Museum Wedding-Kari and Rob

Kari and Rob were married on one of the most beautiful days of this year. Friday was gorgeous weather and perfect for an outside wedding ceremony at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine. They exchanged vows while family and friends surrounded the bridge where the ceremony takes place. They even had their dog there as part of the wedding party! So cute! Afterwards, everyone jumped on the trolley for a quick ride to the A1A Aleworks for the wedding reception. Congratulations to Kari and Rob!

Wedding at One Ocean Resort-Ashley & Joshua

Wow! What a beautiful wedding! Ashley and Joshua are high school sweethearts that were married on Saturday. We met before the ceremony at the One Ocean Resort and Spa for photographs of the bride getting ready and portraits. What a wonderful location! Very artful and inspiring. Then the ceremony was held in the evening at Beaches United Methodist. After the wedding, we made our way back to One Ocean for dinner and dancing. Congratulations to Ashley and Joshua on a perfect day!

San Sebastian Winery Wedding- Rachel and Tom

Congratulations to Rachel and Tom! They were married October 10 at the San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine. Rachel and Tom are from New Jersey so this was a destination wedding for them and close family and friends. Some of my favorite elements were Rachel’s lace dress, the flowers, Tom’s uniform and the sunset we had for the first part of their rooftop reception! What a wonderful and fun evening!

Susie and Rob’s St. Augustine Wedding

Last Friday, Susie and Rob were married in beautiful downtown St. Augustine. We started the day at the Hilton Bayfront and used the private courtyard for bridal portraits and moved over to the Oldest House in St. Augustine for the ceremony. I loved all the bright colors Susie chose and her details were great including the orange shoes she wore. Loved those! After the ceremony, the wedding party boarded a trolley and headed for the reception at the gorgeous The White Room. Congratulations to Susie and Rob!

A Wedding at Home-Debbie and Chris

Ain’t love grand? On Saturday, Debbie and Chris held their wedding in their own backyard where they will start their new life together. They worked hard at renovating the landscaping, putting in a new fence, setting up a tent and decorating with the help of family and friends. Every single detail of the wedding was personally touched by them. There was so much beauty because love is what really matters at a wedding. Isn’t it?

St. Augustine Engagement Session-Kari and Rob

On Saturday night, I met Kari and Rob downtown St. Augustine for their engagement session. We met just before twilight and walked around the town square looking for great architecture and color. There are so many beautiful doorways and buildings that are wonderful for romantic engagement sessions. At one of our locations, I asked Kari and Rob to sit on the curb and cuddle. Just as they did, a little boy popped his head over the fence and peeked at them. It was so cute, I just had to include him in one of the shots! Congratulations to Kari and Rob. I look forward to the unexpected moments of your wedding day as well

Stephen is the newborn son of Shelby and Gary, one of my happily married couples whose wedding I photographed last year. I am always so happy to remain friends with my wedding clients and watch their families grow and lives change. Congratulations to Shelby and Gary!

How cool! Today I was notified that I’ve been accepted into the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. From the ISPWP website: “The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is a rarity among online wedding photography directories. We’re small. We’re exclusive. We’re picky. We are a worldwide group of top professional wedding photographers who have the experience, talent, and reputation to deliver outstanding wedding photography to our clients. When you hire an ISPWP photographer, you are hiring with confidence because every member has met our high standards for membership.”

I had to submit client and peer referrals, as well as entire real weddings and my website gallery for judging by other professionals. In addition to the peer review, they also only accept photographers that have shot at least 50 weddings, have no Better Business Bureau complaints, and agree to their strict Code of Conduct.
